Privacy Policy
Effective January 1, 2026. Plain English where we can — lawyer English where we have to.
This document covers how Camino Property Co. collects and uses information through this website and through our property-management services, and the basic terms that apply when you use the site, apply for a rental, or sign a property-management agreement with us. If anything below conflicts with a signed contract, the contract controls.
Information we collect
When you use our site we collect basic technical information — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL — through standard server logs and cookies. When you submit a form (rental application, contact, owner inquiry) we collect the information you provide, including identifiers, financial documents, and rental history.
We do not collect more than we need. We do not sell personal information.
How we use it
To process applications, manage tenancies, communicate with owners and residents, comply with legal obligations (Fair Housing, IRS reporting, court orders), and improve the site. We may use service providers to process screening, payments, and email — they're contractually bound to the same standards we hold ourselves to.
Cookies and analytics
We use first-party cookies for session state and a small amount of third-party analytics (page views, referrer, rough geography) to understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser; some site features will degrade.
Analytics notice
This site uses privacy-respecting analytics that record aggregate page-view counts. We do not use ad-tech retargeting pixels. We do not share visitor data with advertisers.
Data retention
Application and tenancy records are retained for seven years after the lease ends, in line with state record-keeping requirements. General website inquiry data is retained for 24 months unless you ask us to delete it earlier.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements). Email privacy@mesarentals.com with the request and we will respond within thirty days.
Fair Housing
Camino Property Co. complies with the federal Fair Housing Act and the New Mexico Human Rights Act. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, source of income, or any other protected class.
Use of the site
You agree not to scrape, framerate-attack, or redistribute the contents of this site without permission. Listings and photographs are licensed to us by the property owner and may not be reproduced without consent.
Listings & availability
We try to keep listings accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee that every detail is current at every moment. Final terms are set in writing in the lease. Photos may show furnishings or staging not included with the rental.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided as-is. We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us for it (zero).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Santa Fe County, New Mexico.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms occasionally; the effective date at the top will change. For questions, write to legal@mesarentals.com or 202 W. San Francisco St., Suite 4, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
